Christian Mission in Moldova!

1)Ministry among deaf people in Moldova

The Evangelical Church in Vienna-Meidling has supported the initiative of a group of joung christians in our church to minister deaf people in Chisinau since 2006. As our church has been serving deaf christians in our fellowship for many years and has offered training courses for sign language, some of our young christians were ready to support the christian ministry for deaf people 'Bridge of Hope' in Chisinau.

They organize summer-camps in Moldova for deaf youth and also support various training courses. An own church for deaf people was founded and the young deaf christians can be accepted and served better in this church, yet still in co-operation with the local Baptist-Church 'Isus Salvatorul'.

2)Christian Ministry of Charity and Mission in Moldova:

As the Evangelical Church in Vienna –Meidling has supported the “Little Samaritan Mission” in Moldova since more than 15 years and has visited the mission work in Moldova several times, the christian mission and ministry of charity in this very poor country has been very near to our hearts.

Some time ago Iosif Damsa (leader of our youth work) motivated some of our young christians to travel to Moldova together at Easter and in December to bring poor moldavian families and orphans the love of God. The way how they want to show God’s love is, that they together with christians from the Romanian Baptist Church in Vienna, visit the poor Moldovian houses and homes, telling them about God’s love in Jesus and give them food they urgently need and buy for them heating stuff (wood, coal) and sometimes help with renovating the desolate houses. They also visit orphanages and perform short acts and scenes, to make also the children understand God’s love. Of course they also bring them some gifts.

The Leadership of the Evangelical-Church in Vienna-Meidling is happy about these ministries and the initiative of our young brothers and sisters and stand behind them in financially aspect and also in prayer.
